I like to use sweeping and fluid gestures, vivid colours and especially texture to celebrate rural landscapes. Most recently I have been using encaustic wax in my paintings which is wonderful for layering colours and textures. It dries quickly which is great as I don't have patience waiting for my oils to dry!
Having spent a few years teaching Art in schools in England, France and Monaco, I am enjoying spending time working on my own paintings here in Vancouver. I am inspired daily by the beauty of BC. Western Canadian landscapes and animals feature predominantly in my work.
If you are interested in any of my paintings, please email me for information or prices. I also do commission work.
